Exceptional Care in a Safe, Welcoming and Creative Environment
About Us
Our highly popular day nursery in Wednesbury is located within the purpose-built Priory Family Centre. Positioned next to the local Children’s Centre and primary school, the nursery benefits from ample parking and dedicated drop-off bays for families. The building also features an onsite café, and all entrances are secured with fob access for your peace of mind. Designed to be fully inclusive, the nursery offers wide doorways for wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a step-free layout throughout.
Inside, the nursery features two main areas: a 0–2s room registered for 15 children, and a 2–5s space registered for 40. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, closing only on statutory bank holidays. Alongside full-day care, we also provide flexible half-day sessions.
During your visit, make sure to explore our impressive outdoor play area — a firm favourite with our children! Thoughtfully designed to promote natural play, it includes grassy hills, tunnels, and a working water pump for creating rivers and dams. The space encourages imaginative play and physical development with features such as sand, grass, plants, trees and water, offering a rich sensory environment.
Our 0–2s room, registered for 15 children, has its own kitchen, dedicated changing area and private outdoor space. It includes a cosy area for non-mobile babies and a ‘mini loft’ complete with slides, steps and a tunnel to support early physical development.
A wide range of age-appropriate resources promotes all areas of early development. Babies can enjoy creative activities, sand and water play, and imaginative play equipment. There are peaceful reading corners and cosy spaces, and our sleep area features twinkling ceiling lights to soothe little ones as they drift off, with cots and sleep baskets readily available.
Parents receive a daily record sheet detailing meals, sleep times, toileting information and the activities their child has enjoyed. Thanks to our free-flow approach, children can move between indoor and outdoor spaces as they choose. Drinks are always accessible, and fresh fruit is provided at snack times.
Our 2–5s room, registered for 40 children, is organised to reflect the six areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. It is well-equipped with a wide range of resources to inspire creativity, curiosity and independence.
The room is set up to encourage children to take the lead in their learning. Resources are clearly labelled and easy to access, and our lunchtime routine supports independence — children select their own meals, tidy away afterwards, brush their teeth and wash their faces. Fresh drinking water is available throughout the day, and fruit is offered daily.
Within this space, you’ll also find a central kitchen area with low-level worktops, as well as two sets of age-appropriate toilets with low-level fixtures and hand dryers. Children can freely access the outdoor play area throughout the day via our free-flow system.
